DGDA fixes mask's highest retail price
The Directorate General of Drug Administration (DGDA) has fixed the highest retail price of surgical face mask Tk 30 as some dishonest traders were selling the item in higher prices taking the virus panic.
DGDA has also warned of legal action against those who will be found not complying with the instruction.
The government body asked manufacturers to supply up to highest 500 pieces of the product in an invoice to a distributor.
The decision was taken at a meeting held at DGDA on Wednesday on ensuring supply of face masks and hand sanitizers aims to contain coronavirus infection, and price control of these.
At the meeting, manufacturing companies have been asked to manufacture 50ml size hand sanitizer and increase supply to ensure its availability.
