Two more Bangladeshis catch coronavirus in UAE
Two more Bangladeshi nationals in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) have been infected with the novel coronavirus (COVID-19), quoting the country's Ministry of Health and Prevention (MoHAP), reports Gulf News on Monday.
MoHAP today reported 14 new cases of coronavirus, including the Bangladeshi two, bringing the total number of confirmed COVID-19 infections in the country to 59.
Newly infected others are: four Emiratis, three Italians, two Nepalese, a Russian, an Indian and a Syrian national.
Earlier, two Bangladeshi nationals contracted the disease in the UAE, five in Singapore, one in Italy.
Meanwhile, Bangladesh authorities on Sunday reported three people, including a woman, tested positive for COVID-19 in the country.
The novel coronavirus first emerged in the Chinese city of Wuhan, epicenter of the outbreak, and later spread to more than 100 countries across the globe. So far, the virus claimed 3,816 lives and infected 109,888 people globally, according to South China Morning Post.
