5 killed in private car cylinder blast in Gopalganj

Five people were killed when a private car hit a tree and its gas cylinder exploded in Gopalganj on Sunday afternoon. 

Identities of the deceased could not be known immediately. 

Md Ataur Rahman, officer-in-charge of Bhanga Highway Police Station, said, a Dhaka-bound private car hit a tree after losing control and its gas cylinder exploded near Dignagar area on Dhaka-Barisal highway at Muksudpur upazila around 3:30pm.

Three people were burnt to death on the spot and two others were taken to local hospital where the doctors declared them dead, the OC said.
