3 killed as bus plunges into ditch in Cumilla

Three people were killed and 20 others injured as a bus plunged into a roadside ditch at Daudkandi upazila in Cumilla on Saturday morning.  

The deceased are Ramzan, Safiqul and Shahin. Identities of them could not be known immediately. 

According to highway police, the accident took place when the driver of a bus of “Khadiza VIP” lost control over steering and the bus fell into a roadside ditch near Jinglatoli area on Dhaka-Chattogram highway, leaving three people dead on the spot and 20 injured.

On information, police rushed to the spot and sent the bodies to Gouripur health complex. The injured people were sent to different hospitals of Dhaka and Cumilla.
