HAAB sets minimum Hajj expenses Tk 3.17 lakh

This year a pilgrim can perform hajj through three packages under private management, with minimum expenses Tk 3,17,000.

In general package, costs would be Tk 3,61,800 and in economy package 3,17,000 while hajj agencies will announce the rest on basis of scope-facility. 

Hajj Agencies Association of Bangladesh (HAAB) president M Shahadat Hossain Taslim made the announcement in a city hotel on Thursday.

Earlier on Monday, the government also announced three packages for hajj pilgims. These are: Tk 4,25,000, Tk 3,60,000, and Tk 3,15,000 in packages No. 1, 2 and 3 respectively.  

Subject to appearing of Moon, this year holy hajj would be held on July 30. 

A total of 1,37,198 people from Bangladesh can perform their hajj. Out of this, 17,198 under government management, and 1,20,000 under private management.
