BCL leader hacked to death in Barisal

A local Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) leader has been hacked to death and three others were injured in an attack by miscreants in front of Barisal Polytechnic Institute on Friday night.

The deceased is Reza, 22, while the injured are Mehedi, 20, Maruf, 22, and Purno, 20.

Ataur Rahman, Officer-in-charge of Barisal Kotwali Model Police said a group of miscreants hacked Reza and his three friends with sharp weapons mercilessly while they were gossiping in front of the institute around 9:30pm, leaving them critically injured.

They were taken to Barisal Sher-e-Bangla Medical College Hospital where doctors declared Reza dead around 11:15pm, said the OC.
