PM unveils cover of Bangabandhu’s “Amar Dekha Naya Chin”

“Amar Dekha Naya Chin” (The New China as I Saw It), the autobiography written by Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, has been unveiled in the inaugural ceremony of Amar Ekushey Book Fair-2020.

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, also the elder daughter of Sheikh Mujib, unveiled the cover of the 3rd autobiography of his father on Sunday afternoon. 

State Minister for Cultural Affairs KM Khalid, National Professor Dr Anisuzzamanin and Bangla Academy Director General Habibullah Siraji were present among others during this time. 

Amar-Dekha-Naya-Chin

The book, written in 1954, has been published by Bangla Academy and it is now available at Bangla Academy book stalls.

An English version of the book has also been published. Dhaka University English Department Professor Fakhrul Alam translated the book into English.

The month-long Amar Ekushey Book Fair began on Bangla Academy premises and at Suhrawardy Udyan in the capital today.

This year, Bangla Academy has set the theme of the fair as “Birth Centenary of Bangabandhu” by dedicating the fair to the iconic leader, marking his birth centenary.
