SSC examinee shot dead in Gopalganj clash

An SSC examinee was shot dead and other injured in a clash between two groups of villagers over a silly matter in Gopalganj sadar upazila on Thursday morning. 

The deceased Rony Sheikh, son of Anwar Sheikh, was a student of Bolakoir Ajharia High School.

Followers of Molla group and Sheikh group locked into a brawl over a silly matter during tea drinking at a shop in Bongram area on Wednesday evening, said Monirul Islam, officer-in-charge of Gopalganj Sadar Police Station. 

Later, they clashed each other on Thursday morning. At that time, Rony was shot dead and other injured. The injured person was admitted to a local hospital, the OC added.
