Eve-teasers killed school girl

A schoolgirl was chopped to death and three others were injured by eve-teasers in Mohipur area of Chapainawabganj on Friday morning.

The dead woman is Konika Rani Gosh, a student of class ten of Mohipur High School and daughter of Lakhkhon Gosh, of Diar Dhainagar village under the sadar upazila.

The injured girls are Tarin Afroze, 15, daughter of Abdul Khalek, Tanzima Akter, 14 of Mohipur village and Marium Akter of Behula village.

A spoiled boy named Abdul Malek, 28, was arrested in this connection.

According to sources, a youth and his cohorts attacked Konika with sharp weapons at 9am when she and her friends were returning after coaching classes of the school.

Three of her friends were also injured in the attack as they tried to save Konika. Officer-In-Charge of Chapainawabganj Thana Majharul Islam confirmed the news.
