3 killed in Jashore road crash

Three people including two members of a family were killed and four others injured in a road accident in Jashore in the wee hours of Saturday.  

The deceased were identified as Doctor Tonima Yesmin Yasha, 25, wife of Shafiqul Islam, her sister Tanjila Yesmin Piyasha, 30, wife of Sumon Islam and their cousin Monjur Hossen’s wife Tithi, 35. All of them are inhabitants of the city. 

The injured are Monjur, Shafiqul, Shahin and Hridoy. 

According to source, a private car carrying them lost the control and hit an electric pillar at Biman office in the city around 1am. Later all the injured passengers were admitted to Jashore 250 bed General Hospital where the doctors declared three of them dead around 2am.   

Doctor Kajal Kanti Mollik, Residential Medical Officer of the hospital, confirmed the death to Jago News.
