Kushtia poll violence kills youth

An youth was chopped to death over a feud following the recently concluded Union Parishad polls in Kushtia’s Ailchara area on Thursday midnight.

The dead man is Shahinur Rahman (27), son of the late Jaher Ali at Ailchara village.

According to sources, miscreants chopped him around 11.30pm while he was returning home from the local market. He was immediately taken to a local clinic where the doctors declared him dead.

Officer-In-Charge of Kushtia Model Thana Shahabuddin Chowdhury said the body has been sent to hospital for autopsy.
