Textiles Minister Golam Dastagir shifted to ICU

Textiles and Jute Minister Golam Dastagir Gazi has been shifted to Intensive Care Unit of a city hospital following deterioration of his condition.

He was shifted to ICU of Asgar Ali Hospital in Old Dhaka on Saturday afternoon after his condition worsened. 

Saikat Chandra Halder, public relations officer of Textiles and Jute Ministry, confirmed the matter.

The minister would be airlifted to Singapore General Hospital on Sunday morning for better treatment, Saikat added.

Golam Dastagir has been undergoing treatment at the hospital with pneumonia infection since January 6.
