DNCC mayoral candidates get electoral symbols

The mayoral candidates in Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) polls have been allocated electoral symbols on Friday morning. 

Returning Officer of DNCC Abul Kashem distributed the symbols to all six mayoral candidates at National Local Government Institute (NILG) in the capital’s Agargaon. 

Awami League candidate M Atiqul Islam was allotted ‘boat’ as electoral symbol while BNP candidate Tabith Awal got ‘sheaf of paddy.

PDP candidate Shahin Khan got ‘tiger’ while Islami Andolan Bangladesh candidate Sheikh Md Fazle Bari Masud was given ‘hand-fan’.

NPP candidate Md Anisur Rahman Dewan, Bangladesh Communist Party candidate Ahmmed Sazzadul Haque got ‘mango’ and ‘sickle’ respectively.

To be noted, the elections to DNCC will be held on January 30.
