78 Bangladeshis held in Malaysia crackdowns
Malaysia has arrested 220 people, including 78 Bangladeshis, in crackdowns on illegal migrant workers in the country at the outset of the year.
Government of the country began the drive soon after period of the programme 'back for good' for illegal migrants to return own home ended.
Malaysia's Immigration Department chief Khairul Dzaime Daud in a press release confirmed the matter on Thursday.
A total of 1,871 people were detained during 124 drives in different parts of the country in last 24 hours. Later, 220, including 78 Bangladeshi workers, were shown arrested by Immigration department, said in the release.
