PM's new principal secretary Ahmad Kaikaus

Power Secretary Dr Ahmad Kaikaus has been named as the principal secretary to the Prime Minister.
He replaces Md Nazibur Rahman, incumbent principal secretary to PM, as the latter goes to post retirement leave (PRL) from December 31.
The cabinet secretary and the principal secretary hold rank 12th, according to the Warrant of Precedence, 1986.
Warrant of Precedence lays down the relative precedence in terms of ranks of important functionaries belonging to the executive, legislative and judicial organs of the state, including members of the foreign diplomatic corps.
The 1984 batch admin cadre of Bangladesh Civil Service (BCS), Ahmad Kaikaus, has been working as senior power secretary since February 27 this year.
