HuJI leaders plotted subversive acts in city
Six members of banned militant outfit Harkat-ul Jihad al-Islami Bangladesh (HuJI-B), who were detained from city's Badda area, had plan to carry out destructiveness in any important establishment in and major subversive acts.
They gathered in Badda's Satarkul area in direction of HuJI leader Md Ujjal Ratan who is now in jail in the 21 August grenade attack case.
The detainees were also making different plans to make the organization more stronger, and collect money for bail of the leaders who are behind bar.
Counter Terrorism and Transnational Crime (CTTC) Unit of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) chief Monirul Islam made the disclosure at a press conference on Friday.
On information, a team of CTTC conducted a drive in Satarkul area early Friday and nabbed HuJI leaders Md Billal Hossain, 25, Nur Alam, 28, Md Rafiqul Islam, 29, Abul Mia, 35, Abdur Rahman, 30, and Akter Hossain, 34, said Monirul.
