Hartal underway in 3 hill districts

The day-long hartal, enforced by Parbattaya Nagarik Parishad and Parbattaya Bangali Chhatra Parishad is underway in the three hill districts on Thursday.

Abdul Majid, vice president of the central committee of Parbattaya Bangali Chhatra Parishad confirmed the matter.

He said, the shutdown was called mainly to protest against the PM’s decision to pull out all army camps from the hilly areas and amendment to some sections of the CHT Land Disputes Resolution Commission Act framed in 2001.

No vehicle was seen plying the roads in Rangamati while no long-route bus left the district town.
