FFs on Razakars' list: Minister given 24hrs to apoligise
Liberation War Affairs Minister AKM Mozammel Haque has faced 24-hour ultimatum to apoligise unconditionally to the country and nation over the inclusing of Freedom Fighters' names in list of Pakistan occupation force's collaborators.
Supreme Court lawyer advocate SM Julfikar Ali Junu served the legal notice to minister Mozammel through post on Thursday.
The notice said the liberation war fighters have been dishonoured by putting their names on the list of the people who collaborated with Pakistan occupation force during Liberation War, 1971.
The notice also read if Minister Mozammel does not apologise to the country and nation with next 24 hours, legal action would be taken against the concerned.
Earlier on December 15, the Liberation War Affairs Ministry published a list of 10,789 people who collaborated with the Pakistani occupation force during liberation war, 1971.
Soon after the list was revealed, question grew about accuracy of the list after several freedom fighters' names like Golam Arif Tipu were found in, and the ministry faced huge criticism.
