List of 10,789 collaborators published

A day before the 49th Victory Day, the government has published the list of 10,789 people who collaborated Pakistani occupation force during Liberation War, 1971.

Liberation War Affairs Minister AKM Mozammel Huq revealed the list at a press conference at the ministry on Sunday.

Alongside, the minister has also unveiled a list of freedom fighters at the programme.

Minister Mozammel today published first phase of the list of the people who were accomplices of Pakistani occupation force in committing mass killing, torture, rape, looting and so on. 

UNB adds: Speaking on the occasion, the minister said the number of genuine freedom fighters is not more than 2.10 lakh.

He said many records were removed when the anti-liberation forces, including Jamaat-e-Islami, were in power.
