Munshiganj pre-election violence hurts 10

At least 10 people have been injured, including six with bullets, in a clash between the proponents of two chairman candidates of Mollakandi Union Council under Sadar upazila in Munshiganj on Wednesday.

Yunus Ali, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Munshiganj sadar police said proponents of Awami League backed chairman candidate Ripon Patwari and independent aspirant Mohsina Hoque locked into a clash over the UC election scheduled to be held on 28 June.

During the clash the six people sustained bullet injures, the OC added.
