Patuakhali road accident kills 1

A motorcycle rider has been killed and two others were injured in a road accident at Chhilabunia on Bakerganj-Barguna road under Mirzaganj upazila of Patuakhali.

The deceased is Abdur Rashid Mridha, 55, a resident of Itbaria-Kalichanna area in Sadar upazila.

Police said the accident occurred when a human hauler collided head-on with a motorcycle in the area at about 11:00am, leaving motorcycle rider Rashid dead on the spot and two others injured.

The injured were sent to local hospital.
