Dhaka's rail link with North Bengal disrupted

Rail connection of Dhaka with northern districts were suspended after engine of 'Rajshahi Express' train went out of order in Kamarkhand upazila of Sirajganj on Thursday morning.

No casualties were reported in the incident.

Jamtail Railway Station master Abdur Rahman told Jago News that the engine of the train heading towards Dhaka from Chapainawabganj went out of service in Jhaoil Tek At area around 8:15am, halting rail communication of North Bengal with capital Dhaka.

But the protesters said their demands had not been met and returned to the streets in late October.

President Barham Saleh has said Mr Abdul Mahdi will resign if parties can agree on a replacement.
