Bus-pickup collision claims 3 lives

Three people lost their lives and at least 10 others received injuries as a bus and a pickup van collided head-on on the Dhaka-Barishal highway in Bhanga upazila of Faridpur on Tuesday morning.

Identities of the deceased could not be known immediately.

Bhanga Police Station officer in-charge (OC) Ataur Rahman said a bus of Madaripur bound 'Chandra Paribahan' collided head-on with a pickup van came from opposite direction in East Shadardi area around 8:30am, leaving two dead on the spot and 11 injured.

The injured were rushed to a hospital where one died and the rest were undergoing treatment, OC Ataur added.
