Tonu murder: autopsy doctor gets death threat

The doctor who made second autopsy of Comilla Victoria College student Sohagi Jahan Tonu, which said to have found evidence of rape before murder, has received a death threat.

Doctor Kamoda Prosad Saha, head of Comilla Medical College Hospital’s forensic department and headed Tonu’s second autopsy confirmed the news of threat on Tuesday.

Kamoda received a letter this morning from post master that was mentioned his death threat.

The letter asked the doctor to prepare Tonu’s autopsy report ‘as they prescribed,’ KP Saha said. ‘Or else, they threatened to end me and my family.’

Kamoda told Jagonews24.com that he will file a general diary with Comilla Kotwali Police Station in this regard seeking his and his family’s security.

It is mentionable that, Shohagi Jahan Tonu was reportedly raped and murdered by miscreants in Alipur area of Mainamati Cantonment on March 20.

She was a second-year student of the History department at Comilla Victoria College and also a cultural activist.
