Abrar murder: Warrant issued against 4 fugitive accused

A Dhaka court today accepted the charge sheet against 25 accused in a case filed over the killing of BUET student Abrar Fahad.

Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Kaisarul Islam passed the order.

The court also issued an arrest warrant against four fugitive accused as the investigation officer showed them absconding in the charge sheet.

The four are Morsheduzzaman Jisan, Ehteshamul Rabbi Tanim, Morshed Islam and Mustaba Rafid.

The court fixed December 3 for the submission of reports on the execution on arrest warrant.

Earlier on November 13, investigation officer of the case Wahiduzzaman submitted the charge sheet to the court.

Abrar, 22, was found dead on a staircase of BUET’s Sher-e-Bangla Hall in the early hours of October 7, after he was taken to the dormitory’s Room No 2011 around 8pm on October 6 and beaten mercilessly by Chhatra League men late into the night.

Abrar’s father Barkat Ullah filed the murder case at Chawkbazar Police Station against 19 people, mostly leaders, and activists of Buet Chhatra League unit.
