Father, daughter found dead at Chattogram house

The throat-slit bodies of a man and his four-year old daughter were recovered from a house in Nimtali Biswa Road area in the city on Saturday.

The deceased were identified as day labourer Md Arif 35, and his daughter Bibi Fatema.

Police detained two women including the wife of Arif in the incident. They are Hasina Begum and his elder sister. 

Sukanta Chakrabarti, officer-in-charge of Chattogram Bandar Police Station, said on information, police recovered the bodies from a house named ‘Alam Bhaban’ around 12:30 am and sent those to hospital morgue. 

A blood-stained knife was recovered from the spot. The incident might be occurred due to conjugal dispute, the OC added.
