Abrar’s death: Demonstrations staged at DU, BUET
A group of students of Dhaka University (DU) and Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) staged demonstrations protesting the unnatural death of BUET student Abrar Fahad on Monday noon.
Leaders and activists of Chhatra Dal, Chhatra Federation and Chhatra Front took part in the demonstration.
The protest procession brought out from Raju Memorial Sculpture of DU around 12pm and ended at BUET campus.
DUCSU VP Nurul Haque Nur expressed his solidarity in the protest programme.
Agitators blamed Chhatra League for the death of Abrar and demanded fair trial.
Abrar Fahad, 21, a second-year student of Electrical and Electronic Engineering department of BUET was found dead at the institution’s Sher-E-Bangla residential hall on Monday morning.
Chawkbazar police detained two people for the interrogation over the death. They are Rasel and Fuad.
