AL leader gunned down

A leader of ruling Awami League was gunned down by rival group at Paida bazaar area of the Pabna Sadar Upazila on Sunday morning.

The dead man is Abdur Rahim Biswas, son of Jamser Ali of Rahimpur village of the upazila and General Secretary of Ward no. 3 Unit of Goyeswarpur Union.

Assistant Superintendent of Police of Pabna Sadar Circle Sheikh Selim confirmed the matter to the reporters.

He said it was primarily learnt that Rahim was shot to death over the conflict of UP Polls. The investigation is ongoing to trace out the killers.
