Women, son killed in Chittagong landslide

A woman and her son have been killed in a landslide triggered by incessant rains at Jungle Salimpur in Sitakunda of Chittagong around 9 am on Saturday.

The deceased were identified as Kajal Begum, 50, and her son Belal Prokash, 10.

Harun Pasha, Station-in- Charge of Sitakunda Kumira fire service confirmed the matter.

Kajal Begum, hailing from Brahmanbaria, used to live in the area with her family, said Harun.

Police recovered the bodies and sent those to Chittagong Medical College Hospital.
