BSF picks up Bangladeshi man from Kurigram border

Members of Indian Border Security Force (BSF) picked up a Bangladeshi cattle trader from Anantapur border in Fulbari upazila here early Thursday, reports UNB.

The victim was identified as Shahadat Hossain, 30, son of Altaf Hossain of Anantapur village.

Locals said a patrol team of BSF chased a group of 12 to 14 Bangladeshi cattle traders near pillar No 944/3 and Shahadat fell down while fleeing.

BSF members caught Shahadat and dragged him to Indian territory, they said.

Kashimpur Union Parishad Chairman Goljar Hossain Mondol said Shahadat’s father and UP member Abul Hossain informed him about the incident.

Later the matter was informed to Kashipur BGB Camp Company Commander Nayek Subedar Mukul Chandra.

Lalmonirhat-15 Border GuardBangladesh (BGB) commanding officer Anwarul Alam, said he heard the incident from local people.
