Two including a woman killed in city

A man was killed in a road accident at Uttar Badda and a body of a woman was recovered from Lalbagh area in the city on Sunday.

The deceased were identified as Shahidul Islam, 45, who was died from a road crash, son of late Saidul Islam of Charikumarpara in Kamalkanda upazila of Netrakona district and Shila, 28, daughter of late Akkas Ali from Kamrangirchar area of Dhaka.

Locals found Shahidul critically injured being hit by an unknown vehicle under Badda over bridge around 7:30 am, said Inspector Bachchu Mia of Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) police camp.

Later, he was taken to DMCH where doctors declared him dead.

On the other hand, Shila’s dead body was recovered at the dawn in same the day and sent to DMCH for autopsy, Bachchu Mia said.

Shila’s sister Jesmin Akter said, her sister has been divorced by her husband and used to talk a man named Sagor on phone. Sagor called Shila on phone around 8pm on Saturday while she went to visit her another sister’s house at Lalbagh area, since then her phone has been switched off.

Around 12am on Saturday, Sagor informed that Shila was feeling sick and later, in the morning police recovered the body from the house, she added.
