2 children drown in Gaibandha

Two minor children drowned in a pond at Somspara village under Gobindaganj upazila in Gaibandha on Thursday morning.

The deceased were Sakib, 5, son of Matin and Lahim, 6, son of Mintu Miah of the village.

Family sources said, the two children slipped into the pond and drowned while playing on the bank of the pond.

Later, their bodies were recovered from the pond.
