Multiple road accidents kill 21 on Thursday
There were twenty one people died from road accidents within 9 hours only on Thursday including hundreds more injuries.
Several road accidents were noted in the single day from 6am to 3pm leaving 21 people dead.
The local correspondents sent some reports to Jago News over the accidents from the spots.
Feni correspondent said, 8 people were dead and 20 other were injured while a Cox’s Bazar going picnic bus hit a tree at Lemua area in the district. Sustaining severe injury, another seven people were forwarded to Dhaka for better treatment.
Sirajganj correspondent said, three buses collided on heads around 3pm at Konabari area of the district killing 3 people and injuring another 50 passengers who were not identified immediately.
Kishoreganj correspondent said, three passengers dead and 4 others injured after a truck crushed a CNG-run auto-rickshaw at Kotiadi area of the district on Thursday noon. The accident took place at Vitipara area of Achmita union.
Faridpur correspondent said, a collision of two buses killed 3 passengers and injured 50 others in Vangha upazila of the district on Faridpur-Barishal highway earlier in the day.
Bhola correspondent said, a child, who was identified as Parvez, 6, was killed as Mahindra truck crushed him at Barrister Kacharibazar area of Purba Ilisha union of Sadar upazila in the district around 12:30pm in the day.
Tangail correspondent said, a Pickup van crushed a college boy to death at Boali Uttarpara area of Sakhipur upazila in the district around 9am in the day. The deceased boy was identified as Md Istiaq Ahmed, 17, son of Sakil Azad from 4 no ward of Sakhipur municipality, was studying in Govt Mujib College.
Gopalganj correspondent said, a private car hit a motorbike rider to death at Gopalpur area of Kashiani upazila in the district in the same day.
The deceased was identified as Tuhin Molla, 30, son of Asraf Molla from Ghosherchar area of Latifpur union in Sadar upazila. Tuhin’s wife Sathi Begum, 25, was injured severely.
A sub inspector of Kashiani police station said, when they were coming from Vatiapara of the upazila was hit by a private car that was coming from the opposite side, killing Tuhin on the spot and injuring his wife.
