Government accustomed in illegal activities: Fakhrul
The Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) could took to the street with strict movements against the irregularities and illegal actions performed by government, if the Chairperson of the party Begum Khaleda Zia could be freed, Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir said on Sunday.
Begum Khaleda Zia was victimized by the government illegally and unfairly, alleged the leader through a press conference in his residence in Thakurgaon earlier in the day.
Fakhrul said, the government completely submerged in illegal and inhuman works as much as couldn’t turn their sight to Khaleda Zia despite her serious sickness. Only to survive in power the current government was doing all kind of immoral deeds.
Khaleda Zia was imprisoned by the government illegally and with the unfair political interests, arresting her in false cases. She should be freed immediately as she was the most popular leader to the people due to her representations of the people’s desires and hopes, the leader added.
At the end of the press conference Fakhrul wished the people greetings for Eid-ul-Azha.
