PM returns home Thursday
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina returns home from London on Thursday morning wrapping up her official visit to the United Kingdom, reports UNB.
“The Prime Minister will leave London on Wednesday afternoon (London time) and reach Dhaka on Thursday morning (BST),” PM’s Press Secretary Ihsanul Karim said on Wednesday.
A VVIP flight of Biman Bangladesh Airlines carrying the Prime Minister will leave Heathrow International Airport in London for Dhaka at 6:20pm (London time) on Wednesday, said sources at the Prime Minister’s Office here.
The flight is scheduled to land at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport at 10:20am on Thursday.
On July 19, Sheikh Hasina went to London.
During her stay the UK, she joined the Bangladeshi envoys’ conference on July 20.
Commonwealth Secretary General Patricia Scotland QC and Lord Ahmad of Wimbledon separately called on Sheikh Hasina in London.
On July 22, the Prime Minister underwent a successful surgery in her left eye at a London hospital.
