Khokon directs to remove Eid animal wastes in 24 hours

Dhaka South City Corporation Mayor Mohammad Sayeed Khokon has directed the concerned people to remove the wastes of Eid animals to be sacrificed on the day of Eid-ul-Azha within 24 hours.

The mayor directed this to the city corporation’s cleaners while addressing at a programme held Nagar Bhaban in the capital on Wednesday.

Sayeed called upon the city dwellers to slaughter their animals at designated spots under DSCC to avoid environmental and health hazards.

At least five spots in each ward have been designated this year in the city corporation for slaughtering sacrificial animals during the Eid-ul-Azha, he said.

A hotline - 09611000999 - will be opened for informing cleaners to take immediate steps for removing wastes, he added.

To be noted, Bangladeshi Muslims will observe Eid-ul-Azha on August 12.
