24 customs officials, employees, importers sued in 18 cases
The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) has separately filed 18 cases against 24 officials, employees and importers of Chattogram customs over alleged bribery and embezzlement of around Tk 4.50 crore.
The cases were filed from the ACC’s head office, said Riaz Uddin, Deputy Assistant Director of ACC’s Chattogram District Office-2.
The accused are retired revenue officer Syed Humayun Akhter, Md Safiul Alam, Shafiul Alam, Md Nizamul Haque, Humayun Kabir, Proprietor of Massers Gyabi Trade International Md Kasif Forkan, Proprietor of MR Corporation Md Harun Shah, Md Ainul Haque, Md Sahidur Rahman, Saiful Islam, Fahad Abedin Sohan, Jotyrmoy Saha, Md Abul Hasnat Sohag, Md Mominul Islam, Mirza Md Ahsanuzzaman, MA Alim, Md Musa Bhuyan, Moeenul Alam Chowdhury, Haji Forkan Ahmed, Md Saifur Rahman, Md Nurul Alam, Md Jahirul Islam and Md Rubel Ahmed.
