Govt. opens media cell on Dengue, rumor and floods

A media cell has been opened by Information Ministry to deliver news immediately on initiatives taken by government over the current issues like Dengue, rumor and floods at Information Directorate on Saturday.

To make the people aware and to serve suggestions over Dengue fever the cell has been put nonstop. 

To contact to the cell some telephone numbers are available as-9512246, 9514988, 9540019; fax numbers are-9540942, 9540026, 9540553; [email protected]; website-www.pressinform.gov.bd and Facebook ID-PID BD, page-Press Information Department, Bangladesh.

Besides, to serve Dengue related treatment and information by newly formed media cell 3 emergency number will be opened at Health Directorate of Health Ministry-01731518866, Dhaka North City Corporation-01932665544, Dhaka South City Corporation-09611000999.

Meanwhile, to get information about disaster including floods, cyclones and daily weather forecast it is requested to contact to Water Resources Ministry at 02-9540701 and 01318234560 with an emergency line “1090” with no toll fee.

On the other hand, to inform any suspicious news it’s requested to call at “999” to contact police directly.
