2 killed as pickup hits truck

Two people have been killed when a pickup van hit a truck from behind at Dubai Bazar under Bahubal upazila in Habiganj around 5.30 am on Wednesday.

Zakir Hossain, officer-in-charge (OC) of Shayestaganj Highway Police Station, confirmed the matter.

He said, the accident took place at Akhanji Filling Station of Dubai Bazar when a pickup van hit a truck from behind, leaving the pickup driver and helper dead on the spot.

Habibur Rahman, sub-inspector (SI) of Shayestaganj Highway Police Station said, police recovered the bodies and sent those to local hospital morgue.

The identities of the deceased could not be ascertained immediately.
