Another AL leader gunned down in Bandarban

A local leader of Bangladesh Awami League (AL) was shot down in Bandarban on Monday noon, an official of Boangchhari police station confirmed the incident to Jago News.

The deceased was identified as Mongmong Thowai Marma, a union leader of AL, said Shariful Islam, Officer-in- Charge (OC) of Boangchhari police station.

The OC said, miscreants shot Thowai Marma when he was riding a motorbike to Sapmara Jhiri area around 2 am in the day and he died on the spot.

The reasons behind the killing couldn’t be known immediately.

Meanwhile, another local leader of Awami League (AL) was gunned down by the miscreants in broad daylight in Satkhira on Monday around 12 pm.

The deceased was identified as Nazrul Islam, Vice President of Agardari union AL unit of sadar upazila.
