Barrister Sumon sued under Digital Security Act
Supreme court lawyer and also war crimes prosecutor Barrister Syed Sayedul Haque Sumon has been sued in a case filed under the Digital Security Act.
Goutom Kumar Edbor, a social worker in the capital’s Bhasantek, on Monday filed the case before the court of Bangladesh Cyber Tribunal Judge Mohammad As-Shams Jaglul Hossain.
The case was filed in connection with the defaming statement against Hindu community posted on facebook on July 19, according to the case statement.
Goutom Kumar’s lawyer advocate Sumon Kumar Roy confirmed the case to Jago News.
Earlier on July 20, Barrister Sumon said in a facebook post that someone using his name in a facebook page are defaming the Hindu community people.
To be noted, Barrister Sumon is a popular person in social media specially in facebook. He made different videos on social problems.
