Habiganj Civil Surgeon dies from dengue

Habiganj Civil Surgeon doctor Md Shahadat Hossain Hajra died of dengue fever at Shaheed Suhrawardy Medical College Hospital on Sunday night. He was 53.

He breathed his last around 10:15 pm, Nikhil Deb Sharma, Senior Medical Technologist of Habiganj surgeon office, confirmed the death to Jago News. 

He left behind his wife, a son and a daughter. 

He had been suffering from dengue fever for a few days. 

He was first admitted to Habiganj Adhunik Zilla Sadar hospital and then sent to Shaheed Suhrawardy Medical College Hospital where doctors declared him dead.

Hajra joined as a Civil Surgeon in Habiganj after being promoted on July 9.
