Rifat murder; Court refuses Minni’s bail plea

A court in Barguna has refused Aysha Siddika Minni’s plea to have an interim bail over the mostly discussed Rifat murder case on Sunday. She is the main witness and wife of brutally murdered Rifat Sharif who was arrested after being interrogated by police recently.

Judge Sirajul Islam Gazi has refused the plea around 11 am in the day.

Earlier in the day, a plea for bail was filed on behalf of Minni over the brutal murder case with a Barguna court. Advocate Muhammad Mahbubul Bari Aslam, Secretary General of Barguna Zila Lawyer Samiti, represented Minni to file the plea.

According to the court documents it was put on current hearing list with the Senior Judicial Magistrate Court in Barguna following the plea, a spokesman of General Register Office, Muhammad Hannan confirmed the mater to Jago News.

To be noticed, Minni was taken by police to interrogate and she was arrested later on 16 July. No lawyer was stood for Minni when she was produced before a court which prompted a big question as she was placed 5-days remand beyond any legal aid.
