Rifat murder: Rishan Farazi arrested, Minni confesses her involvement

Police have arrested another suspect of the brutal Rifat Sharif murder case on Thursday morning who is the third position in the accused list over the case filed by Dulal Sharif, the slain’s father in Barguna district recently, an official told to Jago News.

The suspect is Rishan Rarazi, son of Dulal Farzi from Barguna municipality’s Dhanshiri road area who is also a younger brother of Rifat Farazi, second accused of the case.

An arrest operation over the Rifat murder case was led by Additional Superintendent of Police (Sadar circle) in the area around 10 am in the day but cops have not cleared where he was arrested from, citing probe secret.

Superintendent of Police in Barguna Maruf Hasan disclosed the arrest at a press conference at his office around 11am where he said, police have arrested 15 suspects including Aysha Siddika Minni over the highly discussed Rifat murder case so far. And the first accused of the brutal murder case Nayan Bond was killed in a police claimed “gunfight”.

At least ten of the arrestees already confessed of their involvement in the murder and have given depositions before the concerned court following their confession. Meanwhile, there are 4 suspects placed on remand and police will also seek remand for Rishan Farazi producing him before the concerned court, he added.

When contacted, Maruf Hasan told to Jago News that Minni has confessed her involvement to police in the brutal murder case as she was placed on 5-day remand by a court on Tuesday.
