A writ petition was filed with the High Court (HC) seeking directives to give security for all court premises and judges on Tuesday. 

Supreme Court lawyer and also the wife of a Judge Ishrat Hasan filed the writ with the concerned department of the HC a day after a murder accused stabbed another accused to death in a Cumilla courtroom.

The petition will be heard at the bench of Justice Nazmul Ahsan and Justice KM Kamrul Kader on Wednesday, Ishrat said. 

To be noted, an accused in a murder case stabbed another accused to death in front of the Judge in a courtroom here during hearing on Monday. 

The shocking incident took place in front of Judge Begum Fatema Ferdous of Cumilla Sessions Judge (third) court in the courtroom.
