3 killed as pick-up van hits crippled covered van

A pick-up van hit a standing crippled covered van in Gazipur killing three on the spot. 

The accident took place at Masterbari area in Gazipur City Corporation area around 8am on Monday. 

The pick-up van driver and its two passengers are among the dead. Identities of them could not be known immediately.

Sub Inspector of the Gazipur Sadar Police Station Imtiaz said, a running pick-up van hit a crippled covered van from back while it was standing at the road-side on Dhaka-Mymensingh highway in front of Hotel Niribili of Masterbari area in the city corporation.

Hearing the news, police responded immediately and recovered three bodies from the spot while they were sent to the morgue of Gazipur Shaheed Taj Uddin Ahmed Medical College Hospital for autopsy, he added.
