Cabinet being extended, oath Saturday
The cabinet is being extended on Saturday, cabinet secretary Mohammad Shafiul Alam said today.
The new members of the cabinet will take oath at Bangabhaban at 7:30 pm on Saturday.
In a reply to a question, He said this at a press conference at DC conference held at the Secretariat. He didn’t disclose further details about the members who will be included in the cabinet.
The State Minister of the Expatriate Welfare and Overseas Employment ministry Imran Ahmed is going to be full minister and Fazilatun Nesa Indira, the women affairs secretary of Bangladesh Awami Leaugue is going to take oath as a state minister. She could be appointed at the Women and Children affairs ministry as there is no minister and state-minister appointed yet for the ministry.
After six months of forming a new government through the eleventh parliamentary election on 30 December 2018 the cabinet is going to be expanded.
There are 24 ministers and 19 state-ministers in the Awami League lead third consecutive government and 6 ministries are under Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina alone.
