69.60 pc pass HSC exams

The results of Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) and equivalent examinations were published on Sunday with 69.60 percent pass rate against last year`s 78.33 percent.

Education Minister Nurul Islam Nahid handed over the results to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina at her official residence Ganobhaban at 10.00am.

A total of 7,38,872 students, out of 10,61,614, came out successful in this year`s HSC and equivalent examinations.

A total of 42,894 students achieved the highest grade point average (GPA)-5 in the public examination.

Among the GPA-5 achievers, 23,293 are boys with 69.04 percent pass rate and 19,601 girls with 70.23 percent pass rate.

The education minister will formally announce the results at a press briefing at his office at 1.00pm.

Results will be also available on www.educationboardresults.gov.bd and in respective campus.
