Human chain demands exemplary punishment of Rifat killers

A human chain was formed demanding immediate arrest and exemplary punishment of the killers of Rifat Sharif, who hacked dead in front of his wife, in Barguna on Saturday morning.
A group of people formed a human chain in front of the Barguna Press Club around 10 am. Later they brought a stage procession that paraded the main streets in city.
Speakers at the programme demanded immediate arrest and exemplary punishment of Rifat’s killers.
Rifat’s father Dulal Sharif, Barguna Juba League President Advocate Kamrul Ahsan Moharaz, district Awami League (AL) Organizing Secretary Roisul Alam Ripon, Sadar upazila AL President Md Siddikur Rahman and district Chhatra League President Avocate Jubayer Adnan Anik addressed at the programme.
Rifat, a resident of Sadar upazila, was hacked to death by four miscreants in front of the main gate of Barguna College on Wednesday afternoon.
The entire incident was captured in a surveillance camera which showed the miscreants hitting Rifat indiscriminately while his wife was trying to save him.
