HC wants to know about steps taken over Barguna murder

The High Court has asked authorities concerned to inform the court about steps taken over Barguna brutal murder.

The HC bench of Justice FRM Nazmul Ahasan and Justice KM Kamrul Kader issued a suo moto rule on Thursday. 

The court asked the state lawyer and Deputy Attorney General Barrister ABM Abdullah Al Mahmud to inform the court about steps taken over the murder after hearing from Barguna Deputy Commissioner and Superintendent of Police.

On Wednesday morning, Rifat Sharif, a resident of Sadar upazila, was hacked to death by four miscreants in front of the main gate of Barguna College.

Police arrested a youth named Chandan from BKP area in the town in connection with the killing of a man in front of his wife on Wednesday.

Dulal Sharif, the father of victim Rifat, filed a case against 12 people on Thursday.
